Sticky Cover for Rainmeter - Spotify Album Art by TimoBRL Sticky Cover for Rainmeter - Spotify Album Art by TimoBRL
My second Rainmeter skin.
I was kinda disappointed by the lack of Rainmeter skins with full Spotify support. After looking at the code of Small Spotify With AlbumArt by ~JLundberg , I realized more could be done with some modifications.
Therefore, I decided to port the beautiful Sticky Cover for CAD by ~derrington12.

The skin uses the NowPlaying plugin to retrieve the artist and title of the current track, and the WebParser plugin to retrieve the album name and cover art.
I also included a simple start/stop button by clicking on the cover art.

Credits for the original Lua script go to ~Kaelri who first published it on the rainmeter forums.
Credits for the "no_cover image" go to ~stainless2.
The wallpaper is Waves HD Wallpaper.

Great skin but yeah for some reason i cant get the album name and album art to show up. I have tried restarting it multiple times but with no luck. I am getting error messages with the message saying "WebParser: RegExp matching error (-1)"

Im also using the 3.1 version of rainmeter and 1.2 of the skin.

This is great, thanks for your work!
I don't really need the Play/Pause functionality since I almost always use keyboard keys for that, so I was wondering how to go about changing the functionality of clicking the album art to launching the full Spotify app instead.

OR if there is an API hook to get the same dialog options as right-clicking a song in Spotify (save, add to.., share, etc.), that would be amazing. I'm going to dig into that and see what I can find out, if you have any advice it would be appreciated. If I figure it out, I'll send it your way.

Thanks again!

Spotify does only send the basic song information the the computer, so thats why the album art won't show up.

It's a great idea, but I think if the info for album and album cover were obtained from spotify's api instead of last.fm, it would give more accurate data. Also, having issues with characters showing up in the variables, like or .

For some reason it wont let me move it to the left of my screen, it stops around 1/3 the way in from the left....
anyway i can fix this?

attached a pic so you can see where it stops. Also the border on the right of it is a little large also so I cannot put it quite as right as I want to either.
